For those following the PSP "scene", we got a couple of wonderful X-mas presents from the god of all hackers "Dark_AleX". Firstly, we have a downgrader for all those PSP's with the new motherboards that couldn't be downgraded (still only up to firmware 2.71). This lets you downgrade to firmware 1.5, BUT... then you can upgrade to his second gift, the custom firmware "3.02 OEb" which (apart from letting you play your pirated PSP games & emulation/homebrew) also lets you play PS1 games (any PS1 game!!!). FF7 here I come.

For those of you without the technical know-how to accomplish this, I can downgrade/update your firmware for $20, and email you the software needed for converting PS1 games (but I cannot pirate the games for you).

Many of you know that November was a slow month... and December is shaping up to be more of the same. People spend all their money on gifts for other people during the holidays that they don't have any left to spend on themselves (and used games aren't a popular gift choice).

If anyone wants to get me a gift this year, get me advertising. Whether it's a newspaper ad, a radio ad, college radio, anything. Even if it's just email spam to your friends & co-workers, a line in your online journals or forum posts, etc. Every bit helps. I heard about this "rave" type event today and thought I'd post it for anyone that might be interested. It's called "1up" and is scheduled for Sat. Dec. 9th (starts at 10:00pm). Location to be revealed the day of the event (so the cops can't get a warrant in time to stop it). More info if you click here!!! People are expected to be wearing costumes and I would assume that this is an "adult only" event with lots of drinking and/or other substances.
