As part of our ongoing changes (leading to major renovations) we have decided to stop dealing in DVD's and Comic Books. Gamedeals is a Video Game store and I want to keep it that way. At the moment, both DVD's and Comic Books are 1/2 price, and I'm happily offering deals to anyone wanting to purchase a large lot and/or buy me out of those items completely.

Got in a pile of PSP games today. As well, a Mario RPG for SNES, Kirby for N64, Banjo Kazooie for N64, Zelda Minish Cap for GBA, and a couple of DS games. Also, Nintendo Monopoly is back in stock.

P.S. I'm pretty sure we'll be closed on Easter Sunday. :(

22 March 08 - 16:59Eye of Judgment - Series #2 DELAYED

You know, after all the screw-ups in the release of the game and Series #1 cards, you'd think Wizards of the Coast & Sony could get their shit together and release Series #2 on schedule, but instead... Europe and Japan are getting their cards on time and everyone in North America are getting them mid-April and by the sounds of it, the booster will come one week and the theme decks a week later. Somebody high up in Sony/WotC really want's this game to fail. Needless to say, we will keep you updated as soon as our product arrives.

We will be open this Easter weekend on Friday Noon - 7pm, Saturday 1pm-6pm, and Monday Noon - 7pm. Sunday is still up in the air. We may be closed, but I'm still undecided.

17 March 08 - 02:53New stuff (inc. Eye of Judgment) + Survey & more

I just noticed that it's been a while since I've updated the blog. Things have been busy so there's a pile of new stuff that's come in over the last couple of weeks. Off the top of my head, a pile of PS2/Xbox games, Zelda Collector's Edition for Gamecube, a pile of used Xbox 360 titles, Army of Two for PS3, Super Smash Bros. Brawl for Wii, and some random new NES/SNES stuff, plus more that I can't remember right now.

Regarding Eye of Judgment. We have more Series 1 cards (singles/packs/decks) and will have Series 2 cards on release day (March 27th). Booster packs will remain at $3.95, Theme decks at $14.95, and I may have a couple of booster boxes for $129.95... and I will definitely have lots of singles on launch. If anyone wants to pre-order a box let me know ASAP as I've heard that (once again) Wizards of the Coast didn't print enough to meet demand and a lot of dealers aren't getting what they ordered (and they aren't taking any more orders at the moment). According to my supplier, I WILL have cards.

I'm thinking of holding a tournament very soon, and I will be emailing everyone on my list tomorrow, but if you're not on the list, contact me if you're interested.

Side Notes:
- The Gamedeals Show is still going to happen, it's just been busy so things are going slowly.
- We're debating some major renovations to the store, so don't be surprised if things are shuffles around a bit.
- We will soon be carrying brand new Video Game Magazines including: Nintendo Power, EGM, Cheats, and some nice UK imports ** RETROGAMER **
- We are getting out of DVD's, so if you are a dealer and want to buy us out, let me know as they're going cheap.
- I'm spending way too much time playing Smash Bros. Brawl (Jen too).


One more thing: We will be conducting a survey for the next few weeks. If you're willing to take a few minutes to fill it out and give us your honest opinions, you will be entered into a draw to win $50 in Gamedeals credit (plus some smaller prizes). We've been in business here for 1.5 years and it's time to make some changes, but to do that effectively we need your help & opinion. Only one entry per person, and it's not anonymous (expect me to ask you some tough questions). Entries can only be made while Brian is in the store (so most weekdays are good).
