So, a few notes for the last week in August.

- Some new stuff in this week, including new (limited) plushies, PS3 Singstar, SNES Super Mario All-Stars & more
- We will be CLOSED on Saturday August 30th (all available staff will be at the Penny Arcade Expo, sorry).
- We are NOW HIRING... see below
- If you're going to PAX, come by and grab a Gamedeals button... it will help you meet other locals, get you into parties, and let other "friends of Gamedeals" people know that you're one of us.
UPDATE: We're throwing a party at PAX. If you're a "friend of Gamedeals", find me (or anyone with a Gamedeals Button) on Friday and we'll give you the info. Sheraton/Midnight/Room TBD.

NOTES ON WORKING AT GAMEDEALS
1. Drop off a resume at the store and talk to me (Brian). I'm only there Mon-Fri (except Aug. 29th - see PAX).
2. I'm looking for someone 2-3 days a week, most likely Sunday - Tuesday, but flexible.
3. Trust is very important, so be prepared to have kick-ass references.
4. Expect a lengthy interview, a bit of volunteer training / hanging out time, and a written exam (maybe).
5. Video game knowledge, as well as sales & interpersonal skills are required. A sense of humor is good too.
6. The pay isn't great, but it's better than flipping burgers (working at Gamedeals is awesome) and there's perks.
7. If you're still reading, drop off a resume and we'll talk.

04 August 08 - 18:41Pile of new games UPDATE

Got lots of new PS2 games in, nothing fancy except a Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistance and Grandia 2, a bunch of new random Xbox titles, Pokemon Pearl for DS, and for N64: Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64 & Yoshi's Story. Plus some other random things here & there.

UPDATE:
- Huge pile of Dreamcast games just in. (+ consoles & accessories)
- Some new NES games.
- More N64 games as well.

We will be OPEN on BC Day (Monday).

As for the rest of August... our hours may vary slightly on certain dates. I will be out of town from the 8th - 14th (so no PSP Mods or big trades), but the store will be open as per usual (but don't be surprised if the hours vary slightly or if there is a problem as there will be no back-up staff if anything goes wrong). As well, I will be at the Anime Evolution convention at UBC on August 22nd-24th, and at the Penny Arcade Expo on August 29th-31st. It's a busy month, and we expect to be open every day, but if you need something specific that only myself (Brian) can do for you, you might want to keep these dates in mind. Thanks.
